Treatment and Recovery Real Estate (TRRE). Rehabilitation centers are facilities that provide support to those who have struggled with mental health illnesses, addiction, and psychological health issues. The purpose of these centers is to provide an environment and resources to help individuals recognize their struggles and become inclined to improve their issues related to their mental and physical health. While efforts to prevent addiction and promote mental health can help reduce the demand for rehabilitation centers, these issues will likely remain prominent in the United States in the long run.
As societal attitudes towards addiction and mental health continue to shift towards wider acceptance and recognition, more individuals may be willing to seek help and treatment at rehabilitation centers. Recently, there has been a growing demand for rehabilitation centers in the United States. Evidenced by Grand View Research, the industry will continue to see compounded growth of 7.09% from 2022 to 2030. The main drivers contributing to the growth in this industry during this time period are the growing aging population and the commonality of the sedentary lifestyle. Despite the growth in the rehabilitation center industry based in the United States, access to treatment still remains a significant challenge for many individuals. Factors including but not limited to geographic location, lack of insurance, and stigma surrounding addiction can all restrain access to care. Nonetheless, the expansion of recovery centers is a significant step towards addressing the ongoing crisis of addiction and improving the lives of millions of Americans.
